ROGUE ELEPHANT is a long-form improv and sketch comedy troupe based in New York City. The group performs regularly at various comedy theaters in New York, and plays to packed audiences at a popular Friday night improv show they created and host at the Under St. Mark's Theatre.
Rogue Elephant formed in 2003 after its members met in improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre; all seven
members have gone on to perform
with UCB house teams. A seven-time
winner of the UCBT's "Cagematch"
competition (a show in which the
audience votes on its favorite team),
the group has also performed at the
venerable IO Theatre in Chicago;
around New York at such venues as
the Red Room and Kraine Theatres,
CBGB's Lounge, Variety
Underground, Ash Wednesday, and
the People's Improv Theater (PIT);
and every Del Close Improv Marathon since 2004.
Individual members' credits include National Commercials, Off-Broadway Theater, a slew of sketch shows at the UCB Theatre, the web-based reality series Project Improviser, MTV's Damage Control, The Graham Norton Effect, The Chappelle Show, Screenvision, short video pieces for Channel102.net and Time Inc's
